Fun DIY: 4th of July Headband

Hi there May Arts fans this is Jenifer here with you to share a fun Patriotic headband with you that will be a hit for all of your fun 4th of July festivities.

4th of July Headband

This headband was very easy to make.  Take the faux burlap, pull out the wires on both sides, cut the stitching from one side and pull 3-4 threads along the bottom.  This will give you the cute fringe.  Hand stitch the Pom Poms along the bottom using some embroidery floss.  Next attach the grosgrain dot.  Fold the ends over and add the elastic using a very secure stitch on the sewing machine, do this for both ends.

Last step is add the flowers.  I used hot glue to adhere them.  You can find how I created the flower centers here.

Here is my little model trying it on 🙂  Isn’t it just so cute?  I can’t wait to make some more of these fun headbands.
