Hi there May Arts fans this is Jenifer here with you to share a fun Patriotic headband with you that will be a hit for all of your fun 4th of July festivities.
This headband was very easy to make. Â Take the faux burlap, pull out the wires on both sides, cut the stitching from one side and pull 3-4 threads along the bottom. Â This will give you the cute fringe. Â Hand stitch the Pom Poms along the bottom using some embroidery floss. Â Next attach the grosgrain dot. Â Fold the ends over and add the elastic using a very secure stitch on the sewing machine, do this for both ends.
Last step is add the flowers.  I used hot glue to adhere them.  You can find how I created the flower centers here.
 
Here is my little model trying it on 🙂  Isn’t it just so cute?  I can’t wait to make some more of these fun headbands.
